Recently I've been busy with personal and work related things so I haven't been able to transcribe the three interviews I conducted a few months ago (I will soon!) but I did recently come across a good article on the somewhat forgotten 1980s comedian Yakov Smirnoff. I found the article by Dave McKenna to be an excellent work of journalism and felt it deserved your attention. I know it has nothing to do with comedy in Japan but it's a great look how history can have positive and negative affects on a comedian's career and more. Take the time to check it out, Yakov Smirnoff, America's Secret Weapon In The Cold War, Is Still Laughing
